Have you ever caught yourself changing your opinions or answers in the middle of conversation? Not because you got a wave of creative ideas, but because you wanted to fit in to others ideas.
We want to quickly adjust who we are, how we sound, and what we think so that we can avoid others' judgments, criticisms or misunderstanding. But why do we give 'them' so much credibility? Is their judgement or criticism accurate or helpful? Is it misunderstanding or indifferent to your ideas? Why do we tell ourselves that "they" have better or superior understanding?
What would it take for us to stay open minded to others opinions without feeling pressured to agree, Or stay curious without bringing judgement or feeling judged?
Yes, always more questions than answers.
