Instead of finding things to complain, focusing on what is not going well, or trying to fix things of the past, what if we decide to pay attention to what is beautiful, what is meaningful, what is uplifting, and what is encouraging?
Grateful, thankful, pleased, blessed, delighted, touched, inspired, encouraged, appreciative. Saying these words has calmed my mind and heart. I would challenge myself to use these words because I would much rather stay positive in my thinking and attitude.
Here is the first thing came to me:
I am grateful for everything that happened in my life and how it happened. Nothing is wasted in my life.
